atelier A

Atelier A was launched in 2003 to provide drawing classes primarily for children on the autistic spectrum or with Down’s Syndrome. Many children gather for monthly activities, filling the classroom with their enthusiastic smiles and happy voices.

Staff members, many with an art and design background, build an atmosphere, which enables the children to produce art with total creative freedom. The staff place importance on the process by which the children discover for themselves the concepts and ideas they want to draw and pursue, and transform into art.

Atelier A hopes to continue as a place that offers light-hearted and accessible activities that give children the chance to encounter many people and enables anyone to join in, regardless of age or ability.
