DOOR LABO

In 2017, Tokyo University of the Arts began its certificate program “Diversity on the Arts Project” (DOOR Project). Under the theme of “Art & Welfare,” a systematic and unique curriculum has been developed for DOOR Project, one that reassesses contemporary welfare from a broader perspective with the aim of nurturing the human resources to support a society where diverse people are able to coexist. Under a certification system endorsed by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, students who complete the DOOR program receive the certificate, creating an environment where members of the public and Tokyo University of the Arts students study alongside each other. DOOR LABO is a gathering of DOOR Project alumni who actively engage in activities that make full use of their experience at the university, such as organizing workshops at welfare facilities, and so on.
