Masanori Ikeda

Artist

Photographer. Born in Yokohama in 1978. In 1999, Ikeda started exhibiting work in his own gallery, Dragged Out Studio. In 2003 he began creating and showing the portrait series The Photo Studio of a Holiday. In 2006 he founded the photography studio Yukai, and in 2010 he moved the studio to the Bakurocho area of Tokyo and annexed an alternative space, once again under the name Dragged Out Studio. Ikeda has shown his work in many solo and group exhibitions in Japan and overseas. He is also active in the art unit “Ikeda Midori,” consisting of himself and artist Midori Mitamura.
