Social Welfare Corp. Syokaen /MIZUNOKI

Syokaen, an organization which runs the MIZUNOKI support facility for people with disabilities, started life in 1959 as Kameoka Syokaen (now MIZUNOKI), a relief facility under the Public Assistance Act. Since then, in addition to facility-based support, Syokaen has provided various services including counseling and community life support. In 2012 the group opened the Mizunoki Museum of Art, Syokaen provides the support to enable people with disabilities to live an independent and dignified life as themselves, in safety and comfort.
