Momo no kai (certified nonprofit organization)

Momonokai operates the “Momosan fureai no Ie” day service for the elderly inside Momoi Daisan Elementary School, with the aim of developing a welfare community connecting people together and rooted in local life.
We have recently seen how elderly people outside the framework of the long-term care insurance system and often isolated from both community and family tend to lose their physical and mental strength, with detrimental effects on their health.
Hoping to contribute to the development of an inclusive and comfortable community, Momonokai put its operational know-how, meal-making experience and volunteer network to good use in 2010 by opening Kagayaki-tei, a local lunch place in Nishi-Ogikubo.
