Atsuki Takamoto

Artist

Artist, gained a D.N.S.E.P in Art at the École Nationale Supérieure d’Art de Nancy in France in 2005. His art uncovers the connections between society and human existence through observation of materials and behaviors from everyday life. He is also involved in projects to turn local houses into art spaces, and joint initiatives at educational facilities and with research organizations. In 2014, he won the Special Award of the 17th Okamoto Taro Memorial Award for Contemporary Art, and the Grand Prize of the 15th Okayama Prefectural Art-Cultural Prize. In 2015, he was the recipient of the Encouragement Prize from the Fukutake Education and Culture Foundation. His solo exhibitions include JUXTAPOSITION (Fukiage Museum, Kurashiki city, Okayama Prefecture, 2015), Prefabricated Society (Nagi Museum Of Contemporary Art, Nagi town, Okayama Prefecture, 2016), and Flower for Mr. Frederic Taylor, Kanazawa city, Ishikawa Prefecture 2017).
