Manami Kakudo


Musican and percussionist, born in Nagasaki Prefecture.
She creates music and mischief with instruments like the marimba, her own voice, and anything of interest around her. The free expression of her work takes the form of not only performance, but also installations and art projects.
As well as her solo activities, she plays on stage with musicians like cero, Doppelzimmer, Kaoru Noda and Baku Furukawa, and performs for recorded TV programs. Her studio work includes music for TV, commercials and movies. She also does concert performances for new work premieres and contemporary music, and provides music for dance and video pieces.
In early July 2017 she released her first solo album, “Dreams Flying Over Time.”
