After-school Daycare Service Mikan no Ki

After-school daycare service Mikan no Ki is a care facility opened in 2013 which caters to children with intellectual and physical disabilities. The service provides support from the perspective of the children’s needs and issues that they face. Individual support plans based on written assessments are created and incorporated into daily activities. The childrens’ development and growth is supported through various activities that stimulate their five senses, group play, music, creative activities, storytelling sessions and more. Mikan no Ki also functions as a mini society that leverages the attributes of a mixed care facility, providing support on a daily basis to help children maximize their abilities while learning everyday manners and social norms.
